DC and MD family law attorney Kiana Givpoor

Kiana Givpoor is a family law attorney at Tucker. She represents individuals in all aspects of family law, including divorceseparationcustodychild supportalimonyprenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and domestic violence matters.

Kiana works closely with her clients to understand their desires and needs, counseling them through challenging times with compassion and working towards solutions that best suit their goals.

Before joining Tucker Family Law, Kiana worked as an associate at a Baltimore law firm, where she developed a strong foundation in litigation.

She earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law in Baltimore. During law school, Kiana served as a student attorney for the school’s Gender Violence Clinic, representing clients in domestic violence and custody matters. Kiana’s dedication earned her several honors, including the Hoffberger Clinical Law Prize for Outstanding Work as a Student Lawyer in the Clinical Law Program and the William P. Cunningham Award for Exceptional Achievement and Service to the School of Law.

Kiana also served as a law clerk with the Maryland Office of the Public Defender in Baltimore and as a judicial intern for the Honorable Judge Richard J. Sandy in the Circuit Court of Frederick County, Maryland. Prior to pursuing her law degree, she graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with dual degrees: a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.

Kiana is licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia and Maryland.

When not in the office, she enjoys horseback riding and spending time with family and friends.
